Caleb Dillon Murray is a saxophonist and composer in the San Francisco Bay Area. He focuses on bringing jazz to the world fun and innovatively through blazing solos and unique compositions.
Caleb came to me wanting the following: a brand that represented his music & personality and showcased the more fun, edgier sides of himself; a brand that would allow him to stand out from competitors and helps connect to his audience better; and a branded website to attract club owners, and prospective students, sell merch & albums, and display a passionate, professional version of himself.
The Brand Solution:
An exciting and future-proof brand that would attract his younger audience and older fanbase. His brand has a nostalgic tinge to the jazz players of the past married to a fun edginess. His logo suite showcases a custom font, that is unique, edgy, punchy, and adaptable.
A color palette that’s all about passion, soulfulness, and impact, and that allowed him to stand out from the mostly muted black and white palettes his competition used.
Custom illustrations of vinyl records and saxophones added to the fun and dynamic aspects of the brand Caleb wanted to convey.
The Web Solution:
For his website, the focus was on building a functional home for everything related to his music. Along with standard pages found on a website, we built other key pages and elements to set him up for the future growth of his music career:
A one-stop shop for his albums and future merch
An on-brand Linktree lookalike page to plug into his socials
An event page where he could link to purchase tickets or lead visitors to a landing page where they could sign up for his newsletter to be notified about ticket sales
A media kit page for future media inquiries
Proof of his talent sprinkled on the site in the form of his embedded album and YouTube videos
Email marketing integration so visitors can stay up to date about tour dates, merch drops + album releases
